Strömsö celebrates 20 years 11 June 2022
In honor of the occasion, Visit Vaasa arranges boat transportation to Strömsö. M/s Tiira is leaving from the inner harbor in Vaasa to Strömsö and you can experience the beautiful archipelago during 30 minutes with a guide on board.

Departures at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm.
The trip takes 30 min and costs 10 €/person (one-way ticket).

You can return to Vaasa by free non-stop bus.

Strömsö is not only a popular tourist attraction, but also a popular television show. Official guides are present to tell you about the fascinating history of the 160-year-old mansion. Strömsö's 20th anniversary and open doors event also promises a lot of other interesting program and of course, the day gives you a unique chance to explore the beautiful milieu of Strömsö and see behind the scenes.

There is no possibility for parking in Strömsö. Leave your car home and take the boat or the free bus ride to Strömsö. The first bus departs from the Vaasa market square at 11.45 and after that, the buses run non-stop, back and forth. On board the bus, there are Vaasa city guides who tell about Strömsö's history. You can also arrive to Strömsö by bike.

The boat leaves from the inner harbour and has a limited number of seats. M/s Tiira has 40 indoor seats and 20 more on deck. Book your ticket in advance and be on time. The seats are not numbered.

Please note that the boat is not adapted to childrens trolleys or persons with difficulties to walk. Disembarcation at Strömsö includes a small climb over the railing at the bow of the boat.

In case of bad weather or too few passengers, the boat ride may be cancelled. In case of cancellation, money will be returned.
