Living on a lonely island like Robinson Crusoe, enjoying the midnight sun, being enchanted by silence and beautiful nature? Majorsgrund is your chance to make this dream come true. Our picturesque private island is located in one of the most exciting regions of Finland.
Up to ten guests at the same time can join your island adventure and spend an unforgettable time in the happiest country in the world.
Self-sufficient, sustainable, and climate-neutral:
Our island is an absolutely eco-friendly and self-sufficient retreat. Electricity is generated from solar energy and wind energy. The water is supplied via an own chemical-free water treatment plant which can produce up to 80 liters of drinking water per hour.
From Vaasa it is only a 20 minute drive to Öjna (pier), from where our manager will take you to the island.
Depending on your reservation, a paid airport/pier shuttle may be arranged.

Accommodation & Sauna:
In the recently renovated log house (90 square meters living space) on Majorsgrund guests can enjoy peace and seclusion. With a ground-floor double room, a six-bedded room on the first floor, and two sofa beds in the living area the log house can accommodate up to ten guests, whether you travel with your family, with your friends, or with your company within the framework of a team building event.
Bed linen and towels can be provided for an extra charge - alternatively, you can bring these things in the Robinson-style yourself.
Furthermore, our sauna house (about 30 square meters) near the pier also has a hot water shower with sea view.
You want to travel with a four-legged friend? No problem - your dog can freely move on the island (exception in the breeding season), and there is even a doghouse.

Activities:
Majorsgrund has much water sports equipment, including SUP boards, kayaks, fishing equipment, and a 4 hp boat.
And the fun continues on the island: Do you want to find your inner balance on yoga mats, or your body balance on the slack line? Do you like archery, swimming, or snoozing in front of the campfire? The idyllic island offers something for every taste.
No Finnish island would be complete without a sauna house, and no Finnish sauna would be complete without a subsequent dip in the refreshingly cold water - directly from your private Robinson island - unbeatable!
Minimum booking time is 3 nights.
Boat transport to the island and final cleaning is included in the price.
Transfer from Vaasa Airport can be arranged for a fee of 150€ round trip (max8 persons).
