The best day of summer is spent at Stundars museum!
open from 28th June to 15th August 2021 from 11 am to 4 pm
At Stundars Open Air museum you can experience what life was like in Ostrobothnia in the beginning of 1900s. You can choose to try your hands at everyday chores such as traditional baking and cooking, ironing and writing with black and manual typewriter, or simply hear about the lifestyle and of methods of the era. We are also pleased to announce a new feature opening during the summer of 2019! - our Play Farmhouse. Here, in the authentic atmosphere, children can imagine they are part of old-fashioned country life. In the Play Barn children can play with wooden animals and do shopping in the Children´s Country Shop. In the carpenter's workshop you can practice your woodworking skills. Also at the new animal park visitors can see how animals are fed and tended!
Guided tours are given every day at 2 pm and a brief school lesson is held in the village school every day at 12.30 pm. Guided tours specially designed for children are held from Monday to Friday at 11 am! Guided tours with animals on Mondays and Wednesdays at 11.45 am and on Tuesdays we spent whole animal day from 11 am to 1.30 pm.
